I am honored to share that I have been recognized with an award for my work as a community doula. This acknowledgment reflects not only my individual commitment, but also the deeper collective effort of those who believe in community-centered, equitable, and respectful perinatal care.

My work has always been rooted in advocacy, education, and hands-on support throughout the full spectrum of the perinatal journey, from pregnancy and birth to postpartum recovery and beyond. Each family I serve reminds me that birth is not only a clinical experience, but also a deeply human one that deserves dignity, cultural respect, and informed support. Whether I am providing emotional reassurance during labor, helping families navigate complex healthcare systems, or offering education that empowers informed decision-making, my goal remains the same: to ensure that every birthing person feels seen, heard, and fully supported.

This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the importance of community doula work in improving birth experiences and outcomes. It affirms what I have witnessed for years—that when families are supported with intention, compassion, and consistency, they are better equipped to step into birth and parenting with confidence.

At its core, this award is not just a personal milestone; it is a reminder of why this work matters. It strengthens my commitment to continue showing up with compassion, integrity, and purpose, and to keep building spaces where families feel empowered, respected, and never alone in their journey.
